Philippians 4:11–12

I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty.

Contentment is not the absence of ambition; it is the absence of anxiety about what you do not have. Paul learned it, which means it can be learned. Ministry life will offer you plenty of comparisons. Choose instead to be grateful for what God has given you in this season.

Prayer: Lord, teach me contentment. Guard my heart from comparison and give me joy in what You have given. Amen.
